Birdy's Kayak Site

This is the South side of the bay, almost at sea. I visited it after passing in Hornu. There are plans to make a bassin there, that fills with water at high tide. At low tide the water rushes back out and pushes the sand out of the little harbour. That could create a wave. But no luck, no bassin yet, just a sandy harbour. Some pics anyway...

Looking towards the sea. At low tide you often spot seals on the sand banks. A nice place for sea kayaking.
